my response: YES! Sterilize them. It’s not like you are physically harming them. By removing the ability of them to reproduce, you are taking away (the chance of) their ability to make another of them. Perhaps even more deadlier, evil, and wickedly cruel.
That…i don’t consider eugenics. Practicing on someone, by manipulating them genetically, IS eugenics. I don’t know the word for what I propose, but it would be VERY good to society.
What do you think?
hmmm…why stop at sterilization? i support DEATH for pedophiles and murderers…not sure on the rapists though…

Pedophiles – yes sterilize them slowly and painfully.
Rapists – yes sterilize them quickly.
Mass Murders – just kill them.
I would like to add two other groups.
Mentally Ill Patients – Sterilize them quickly
Welfare Recipients – Temporary sterilization until they are off of welfare.

This actually does fall under the eugenics movement of the ’20s and ’30s, as pedophiles and other "social deviates" were often sterilized by force so that they could not procreate, thus supposedly eliminating the chances of pedophiles and mass murderers being able to arise in the future. This comes from the thought that personality traits are hereditary, which no one has really been able to concretely prove or disprove. It really all comes out of the nature vs. nurture debate.
That being said, although pedophiles, rapists, and mass murderers have all done horrible things for society, they still have their rights as humans. Due to the severity of their crimes, especially mass murderers, such people would most likely be in jail for the rest of their lives, thus removing their ability to procreate anyway, and making sterilization unnecessary.
Oh, and one more thing… Since you think that sterilization does not cause physical harm, I am assuming you’ve never had any type of surgery before. When the human body undergoes any kind of trauma, whether under anesthesia or not, the after-effects are extremely painful.
