How do you think the WII veterans feel about Obama bowing to the Emperor of Japan? Japan started the war and?
thousands upon thousands of Americans died during a horrific four years of fighting to keep them off our shores. Had it not been for Truman using nuclear bombs thousands more of our soldiers would have died. Once the war was won General MacArthur made Japan’s Emperor bow to him! Then along comes a dipshiit like Obama who bows to the Emperor! Why does it appear that everything Obama does is an INSULT to America and America’s veterans? For you Obama fans, we know that Japan is no longer an enemy but we also know why! I don’t think you or Obama have the faintest idea!
Lisa Marie – "Japan is our only ally now"? OMG! Do all of you Obama kool-aid drinkers really believe such crap?
Liberals like the ones who just answered this question are a total disgrace to America. George Washington and the other patriots who put this country together lived a long time ago too, so we should just forget what they did as well?
BTW, we are well aware of the difference of the two Emperors. I am ever more aware of Obama trying to stick his butt up in the air while bowing to him like he did with his Muslim brother, the King of Saudi Arabia. Both events are enough to make most Americans want to puke!
Lawgirl – Your genius is just so impressive. Answer this. Bowing is their custom and doing so is just being polite, okay. Why did the Emperor and his lovely wife not bow to the stooge Obama?
Strange breed the Liberals, especially how easily you can write off the deaths and those who were maimed and injured of so many who fought and died during WW2. Just a wave of your Liberal self righteous hand right? You people have no limits when it comes to your support for your phony hero, do you?
Don’t forget him kissing the ring of the Sheik and kissing China’s a$$. Let’s see, what has he not done? Shame on the president bboooooooooooooo!

WWII was decades ago. Japan is our ally now, and bowing is part of their culture.
Obama did nothing wrong.

the only thing more dangerous to America than Obama are the libs that support him. Like the ones on answers

I’m sure that you are equally repulsed by the hand-holding, kissing and sword dances that Bush did with his Saudi friends.

and the war has been over for a LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG time…
and a Different emperor.
and are you aware that in world war one … Japan was actually an ally…
get over it….
If Obama can convince the Japanese government to buy more american produce … that would be a GOOD thing for you…

I don’t think they care because the emperor he bowed to had nothing to do with WW2. Bowing is a polite gesture. Who cares?
lawgirl | Nov 15, 2009
bush bowed to the Saudis
its a cultural thing and just like Germany they are our friend and we need to get past that time in history, plus the Japanese also lost so many people too and we dropped the only nuclear weapon used in aggression on them so America is not a complete saint in that war even if the Japanese did start it.

My father served in WWII. He has no problems with the Japanese today.

He’s insulting America because we should still hold a grudge against japan? even though the war was decades ago and they are our allies now? So should we hold a grudge against all our past enemies? Why not just hate Britain too? Quit wasting your time with such trivial complaints.

thousands upon thousands of WW2 veterans realize than in japan people don’t shake hands the way westerners do. a bow is their form of greeting.
how about answering this question: did emporer akihito bow in return? yes, he did. it’s their equivalent of a handshake.
how do you think the families of 9-11 victims felt about bush holding hands and sucking face with the king of saudi arabia considering that 15 of the 19 9-11 hijackers were saudi nationals?

In japan if your younger you bow to you elders as a sign of respect, they acknowledge by an informal head nod. And yes living in the past is moronic, study it and don’t forget it but look to the future. Its idiots like you who live in their own happy world and think America has is the only culture out there, and also forget its the happy good patriotic conservatives who put Saddam in charge..*cough* now who is looking at history.
Since you seem to like George washington so much heres a little quote by him "The greatest threat to Americas freedom is political parties" SO guess what? he hates liberals, conservatives and all others equaly, he believed they would all destroy America
