Iron Eagle (part 1)
Doug Masters is a pilot who loves to do what cant be done. He dreams of going to the Air Force Academy and will do anything to get there. When his father, a pilot, is shot down over the Med in hostile territory and going to be hanged, Doug recruits the help of Chappy Sinclair a retired Air Force colonel to do the impossible: a two man mission. But Doug must prove his ability first by having his Eagles (bunch of kids) put together the mission
Iron Eagle 2: Doug is in the air force and is patroling the Bering Straight when a encounter with Russian air force kills him. His wingman escapes the sorrow of loss by being dragged into a mission put together by Chappy. A hostile Middle East country threatens nuclear war, and it will take America and the Soviet Union to destroy the launch facility. But first the two must get past their own hates towards each other. Cooper (the main char) blames one of the soviets for the death of Doug Masters.
Aces: Iron Eagle III: Chappy is ready to settle down and plans to buy a ranch in texas. But he has spent the last few years in a air show group of World war II pilots. A american DEA pilot is shot down, and the DEA finds drugs in his wreckage. Chappy finds his sister trying to find out what has happened, and learns that the problem is much larger then just drugs. the S. American village the girl lives in is being held hostage by a German world war 2 escapist who has deals with people on Chappy’s air force base. Chappy decides that he must stop the terror, and hires his air show friends into a…. World War 2 attack on the village.
Iron Eagle IV: Chappy has believed that news of Doug Masters death were true. He has moved on with his life and built a Juvenile pilot school for convicts. Doug Masters, very much alive, who parachuted into the Soviet Union and was captured and kept in prison till freed by politicians, is asked to come help run the school. He blames Chappy for not trying to get him out of Russia. When a chance encounter leads the kids to discovering a mysterious military group and some bio weapons, Chappy must uncover a plot to attack Cuba with them defeating communism without war. He must also fight the law as everyone involved will do anything to keep Chappy out of the way.
As much as IV was hated by most people, i dont find it that bad. I only have 2 complaints.
Doug Masters was recasted for the role this time. And why ruin what practicaly shaped Part 2

I liked the first two but the series ran out of steam. I don’t really like any of them past the first two.
